CALL FOR PRACTITIONERS
Altru Drama CIC are now recruiting for North-West based Applied Theatre and Drama practitioners to join our freelance team, working with children and young people aged 4 – 25.
We are keen to hear from practitioners with a strong understanding of applied theatre practices, a passion for inspiring young people through creativity and a desire to bring the two together through creative workshops and projects.
We are particularly keen to hear from practitioners who are able / willing to deliver workshops in evenings and weekends and are keen to work on longer term projects, developing relationships with young people and supporting their creative journeys.
A good understanding of safeguarding practices is desirable, but training will also be provided.
Rates of pay around £30 per hour.

Actors for our Anti-Bullying Tours in Autumn 2025
We are looking for 6 versatile, confident and fun-loving actors for our Anti-Bullying Tours in the Autumn term 2025.
We are looking for 3 teams of actors for our performances and workshops exploring bullying for children in Key Stage 1 & 2.
We will prioritise actors aged 25+ with 3 years driving experience (minimum) who are able/willing to drive a transit van.
Energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism are essential qualities, as well as a love of theatre for young people. Our shows are 45 minutes long and will be accompanied by a workshop led by the actors. As such, we are keen to hear from actors who also have experience of workshop facilitation.
We are looking for actors who look realistically young who are:
DATES:
Induction Day: Friday 24th October 2025
Road to Respect (All North West)
Rehearsals: Monday 27th – Friday 31st October 2025
Tour: Monday 3rd – Wednesday 26th November 2025 (with possible extension to 28th Nov)
Time to be Different (Midlands and Southern Tour)
Rehearsals: Wednesday 29th – Tuesday 4th November 2025
Tour: Wednesday 5th – Friday 21st November 2025
Please note:
‘Road to Respect’ is a Northwest tour and actors will travel from their own homes for the duration of the tour.
‘Time to be Different’ is not a Northwest tour and so actors will be required to stay away overnight midweek.
Fee: £525.00 P/W (Pro Rata where applicable)
