Romans

Spark your pupils’ interest in The Romans through a participatory and fun drama workshop. This topic is full of action, adventure and excitement – perfect for exploring creatively through role play, drama activities and games.

No matter which year group are studying The Romans, we have a drama workshop that will really bring the subject to life – giving children the chance to learn about key dates and important Roman individuals as well as the Roman way of life and how this is different from life today.

Our workshops are active and engaging – all children are involved in every activity, and all activities are themed around the topic, helping children remember important information and immerse themselves in Roman life in both Italy and Britain.

Getting the best out of your Romans drama workshop

Our workshops need to take place in the school hall ideally, securing this space for the day of the workshop will help it run really smoothly (we can absolutely move into a classroom for lunchtime set up if needed)
Make sure a teacher or TA will be present in the workshop to support the pupils and help us understand their needs.
If you would like pupils to dress up we are happy for you to do this! We don’t provide costumes (as we don’t feel they are needed for the learning to take place) but we can always help with ideas of what to wear if you want to do this.
