The Tudors in a Day includes loads of information about the Tudor times, and is the perfect start to your work on the topic in class.

In just one school day we pack in information about life, work and homes, the Kings and Queens, the War of the Roses, key Tudor ‘celebrities’ and, of course, Henry 8th and his wives. It’s an action packed day that will inspire and motivate your pupils to want to learn more.

All of our History in a Days encourage children to become more curious about the history of the UK and the wider world. Our worskhops are planned to encourage enquiry and discussion and allow children to develop chronological knowledge, as well as contextual understanding of how people lived and the impact of historical periods on how we live today.

For one class of pupils. A fun-packed day with a performance at the end.

Based on the always popular Play in a Day format, a Learn and Present day is an action-packed day that really challenges and inspires your pupils. They’ll spend a full day with one of our practitioners, doing drama activities, playing games, singing songs, and having loads of fun. Across the day they’ll learn lots about Tudor times, including information about people and everyday life, as well as facts and figures about key historical characters from the period.  They’ll use their new knowledge to create a short performance which is packed full of facts, information and fun.

At the end of the day the class present their learning as a performance with music, costumes and props to an invited audience of parents and the rest of the school.  The whole experience is extremely rewarding and, as well as learning lots of information the day inspires and motivates pupils to want to learn more.

For up to 4 classes of pupils take part in 60 minute workshops.  We can also split the day in 2 for deeper learning.

The Explore format is perfect for larger schools as it gives you up to 4 workshops in one school day.  Each class works on the Tudors topic for around an hour, learning historical information, facts and dates as well as exploring lives of the Kings and Queens and how people lives in this period of history.  All learning is done through fun and accessible drama games and activities, meaning it’s perfect for every class.

You can also build an EXPLORE day with 4 different topics based on the needs of each class.
