Home School Workshops English Hamlet

Hamlet

Give your pupils the opportunity to learn about the story of Hamlet, through an engaging and participatory drama workshop. The tragic tale of Hamlet can be incredibly accessible and exciting for children, when delivered through drama where children perform as the characters and bring the story, settings and themes to life using their bodies, voices and imaginations.

Our workshops allow pupils to quickly learn the whole plot of the play and explore the characters through drama activities and games which are both memorable and fun.

We also utilise Shakespearean language in all of our workshops, in a way that is child-friendly, accessible and memorable.

Getting the best out of your Hamlet drama workshop

Our workshops need to take place in the school hall ideally, securing this space for the day of the workshop will help it run really smoothly (we can absolutely move into a classroom for lunchtime set up if needed)
Make sure a teacher or TA will be present in the workshop to support the pupils and help us understand their needs.
If you would like pupils to dress up we are happy for you to do this! We don’t provide costumes (as we don’t feel they are needed for the learning to take place) but we can always help with ideas of what to wear if you want to do this.
