Just Breathe

Just Breathe is a new performance for Years 5 & 6 that raises awareness about drugs and alcohol including vaping, cannabis and ketamine.

The 45 minute performance, which takes place in your school hall, is hard hitting and engaging, giving young people the knowledge and information they need to make positive, healthy and informed choices.

The story follows three young people – Dylan, Lexi and Bella – as they navigate a difficult period of their lives and each uses drugs and/or alcohol. The show demonstrates the reasons why young people might look to drugs and alcohol to support them, or for experimentation – and clearly outlines the potential outcomes and consequences of each.

The show is suitable for Year 5 and 6.
You can also invite parents to form part of the audience.

After the performance we offer a workshop, where children explore the choices made by the characters and the consequences of these choices.

Just Breathe allows pupils to explore a difficult subject through creativity , giving them the chance to ask questions and develop understanding in a nurturing environment.

Feedback (for Eyes Open in 2024)

"It was a fantastic performance, the children were completely captivated by it. The children didn’t feel like they were being patronized- they enjoyed being spoken to like young adults and discussing serious topics."

Rebecca Fry
KS2 Lead, Pinehurst Primary School, Liverpool

The performance was amazing. The story was great, the actors were really funny and the children loved the action and jokes. The children have been learning about growth mind set, so the performance really supported this. The children were thoroughly engaged. You are always very professional when you come, and I have to say very easy to work with in school and when organising a visit.

Helen Price
PSHE Lead, Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Wirral

"The production offered the perfect balance of humor and important (and at times difficult ) messages to the children. It was up to date and relevant. The growing issue around vaping was covered well within the production and their workshops after."
