Safeguarding

Home About us Safeguarding
Safeguarding the children and young people we work with is incredibly important to us at Altru, and we undertake a rigorous process to ensure all staff are suitable to work with children and are trained to handle any safeguarding issues that may arise during their time in your school or setting.

All staff undertake an ID and DBS check prior to commencing their work with us. All staff receive in house safeguarding training, delivered by our general manager Dan Costello who is our Safeguarding Lead – Designated Officer. Dan is qualified to Level 3. Dan also delivers disclosure training to all staff. All core team members have yearly safeguarding and disclosure refresher training.

Staff are supported during their time in your school by the office team. We have safeguarding protocols and documentation in place to protect your pupils and our staff.

Our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy can be emailed to you on request.

Risk Assessment

Every workshop or performance we deliver is risk assessed to ensure the safety of your pupils, workforce and our staff team.

Risk assessments are designed to assess the risks associated with our work in your setting.

The risk assessment relating to the project you have booked can be emailed to you on request.

Insurance

Altru has public liability insurance (indemnity £5 million) and both employers and product liability insurance.

Our insurance documentation can be emailed to you on request.
