Our Monday round up is on a Tuesday this week due to it being a Bank holiday weekend! We hope you all had a wonderful break, the day started off being extremely wet but had picked up by the afternoon and the day ended in glorious sunshine!
Another busy week has been and gone and we’re full of the joys of spring now it’s May!
Last Monday, Kerry delivered her weekly sessions at Broadgreen Primary and this week she was dragon hunting with Year 1:

Tuesday saw St Martin’s in Runcorn, delve into the issue of bullying as Year 3 worked on an Anti-Bullying Play in a Day with Kerry. They learned lots and loved performing at the end of the day for the rest of the school. They can’t wait to do drama again!
Also on Tuesday Kate was once again delivering her spelling, punctuation and grammar sessions in schools in Halton as part of the SLiCE programme. This week she was focussing active and passive voice and used a news report activity to explore this further!
Natasia, one of our core team, was in Northwood Community Primary School on Tuesday delivering some Pool of Life workshops which is all about local history and our city. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and learnt so much about local history through fun and exciting drama activities and games.
Our neighbours, the lovely St Anne’s Primary School in Huyton booked in three Play in a Days for last week. They were all in the topic of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and we really enjoyed helping them continue to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of our favourite Shakespeare comedies and the box has some great costumes, a lot of fun for all involved.
Linda Barrister, Deputy Head of St Anne’s in Huyton had this to say:
“Another fantastic play in a day which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. It brings out qualities that as a teacher, I don’t always get to see in the children day to day. Thank-you. 10/10.”
What a lovely end to our week! Catch up with us next Monday for news!
